Since opening our doors in 1925 as a single-screen silent movie house, the Art Theatre of Long Beach has been a cherished home for film lovers. Today, as the city’s last remaining independent cinema, we stand as a vibrant cultural hub on Retro Row, dedicated to bringing the best of independent, international, classic, and documentary films to our community.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, ticket sales only cover a portion of what it takes to operate and preserve our historic theater. We rely on the passion, generosity, and active participation of our community to keep the projector running and our educational programs thriving.
