2024 is the Art Theatre’s 100th Anniversary! Continue the Celebration with Us!

To our Art Theatre Supporters: Welcome to the 2024 Awards Season!

This unique event takes place Sunday, March 10, 2024. This fantastic party and fundraiser will again feature our own Red Carpet entrance, photo booth, food and drinks, giveaways, a silent auction, and a LIVE telecast on the big screen: celebrity Red Carpet coverage at 2:30 PM, followed by the Awards at 4:00 PM.

As the only surviving independent, single-screen theatre in Long Beach, restored to its original Art Deco splendor, the Art Theatre is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Art screens a variety of unique and compelling cinema, in addition to hosting festivals like the QFilm Fest and the Cambodia Town Film Festival, plus concerts and community events. We are proud to support Long Beach education, hosting field trips and fundraisers at no cost to our schools.

Enjoy watching the Red Carpet Academy Awards ceremony?  Don’t have an exclusive ticket for the event in Hollywood?  No problem, The Art Theatre of Long Beach, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is holding its annual Red Carpet Awards Fundraiser on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Join us in your finest outfit (or not – no pressure) for a viewing party you will not forget. My making this donation, you are making a choice to support the art of cinema and Long Beach’s last remaining independent theatre.  The Art is dedicated to providing films of historical, cultural, and artistic significance, as well as hosting festivals like the Cambodia Town Film Festival and the Q Film Festival.  We also support Long Beach education, by providing field trips to our schools at no cost.

Each ticket donation ($100 per person; $75 for Art Theatre Members) will provide a guest with entry to the event, one free drink ticket, a free Red Carpet photo from our photo booth, and access to our amazing Silent Auction with opportunities for airline tickets, hotel stays, dinners, and much more.  In addition, dozens of raffle prizes, gift cards, and giveaways will be handed out during commercial breaks for answers to trivia questions, best-dressed, etc.  Food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase.

Best of all, it will be an amazing party, and with your donation you are making a choice to support the arts and a local theatre institution.  In this age of movie streaming, supporting the Art Theatre is more important than ever.  Incredibly, 2024 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Art, and with your generous help, we hope to continue in Long Beach for 100 more years!

The ceremony starts one hour earlier for 2024, so our check-in and Photo Booth Red Carpet will open at 2:30 on March 10.  The actual awards program will be shown live on our big screen starting at 4:00, and is scheduled to end at 7:30.

We are encouraging Uber and other ride share options, as parking can be a challenge on 4th Street during weekends.  Buy you ticket now, and you will receive a FREE $10 VOUCHER ($5 each way) from Uber!  The discount will be automatically loaded into your Uber account, and you can be dropped off and picked up stress-free in our dedicated ride share area.  Plus, you can have that extra glass of bubbly, worry-free!
